Singapore, February
2003 – Genovate, in association with
Planet3 Wireless Inc. (USA), has embarked on the first
and only vendor neutral certified training Program on
Wireless LAN in Asia-Pacific. The Program is a global
certification endorsed by the Wireless LAN Association
and offers a valuable mix of theoretical and practical
skills. With the advent of Wireless Technologies impacting
businesses significantly, both of these organizations
are committed to addressing the increasing training needs
of the market. The Wireless-Fidelity (Wi-Fi) "hot
spots" that are starting to become prevalent in
many other parts of the world, signal the definite need
for more Wireless Education, and point to increased growth
for the industry in Asia-Pacific, as well. "Planet3
Wireless has a proven track record in delivering high
quality, value-added Wireless Training across a variety
platforms, and an invigorating approach to disseminating
this increasingly crucial knowledge", said Mr. J.
Anton Ravindran, the CEO and Co-founder of Genovate.
He also stressed "The demand for Wireless Services
and Training is expected to increase manifold given that
prepaid wireless connections grew to about 188.2 million
at the end of December 2002 in this part of the world."
|
| |
The Regional Academy that
was established for the Asia Pacific Region, empowers Genovate
to deliver the highest quality individual Certification,
and also commissions them to acquire, educate and evangelize
training partners towards the exciting new Technologies found
under the Planet3 Wireless Inc. (USA) umbrella.
|
| |
Genovate expects to train
at least 30 students for the CWNA, and 10 students for the
CWSP, over the next 4 Financial Quarters. These figures are
expected to double in the following year given the tremendous
surge in interest in Wireless Technologies.
|
| |
The very first class under
this new relationship, conducted recently, was a great success
with the 9 attendees benefiting greatly from the training
agenda.
|
| |
Genovate is working towards
growing the distribution of these Technological skills incrementally,
throughout Asia Pacific (inclusive of the Australian territories).
|
| |
Further to all of these
exciting developments, Symbol Technologies has selected the
CWNP Program to provide Wireless LAN Training and Certification
to all of its premier 2000 + PartnerSelect Resellers and
Solution Providers. Genovate has a long and valued partnership,
as the Asia Pacific Training Provider, for Symbol CWNA's
educational agenda.
|
| |
There is every confidence
that this alliance heralds the beginning of a new era in
Wireless Training, in this part of the world, and presents
a tremendous option for the insatiable needs of their training
markets.
