Genovate Solutions, a Singapore-based, regional provider of e-services, IT solutions and high-end IT training to enterprises, has announced that it has recently opened its doors in the Kuala Lumpur market, due to an increased demand for IT training in Malaysia.

The new entity, Genovate Solutions Sdn. Bhd. (located at Menara TA One), launched its official inauguration with the commencement of SAP Academy in Kuala Lumpur on Monday, October 1, 2001 at Marina Mandrin.

Genovate is the exclusive training partner for SAP in Singapore and Malaysia, and operates the SAP Academy in both countries. The inaugural SAP Academy in Kuala Lumpur has 25 participants, who will undergo five weeks of training and certification in four different SAP specialisations, including finance, controllership, sales & distribution, and materials management.

Like all of Genovate's other training facilities in Singapore, India, and Australia, the new Kuala Lumpur location is outfitted with high-tech equipment and classroom facilities. Genovate has invested close to S$500,000 (US$280,000) for the initial infrastructure and set-up. Preparations are also underway to set up its e-services and solutions division within the next four to six weeks. This division will focus in delivering e-services solutions and consulting including solution architecting and project management to enterprises.

"The Malaysian market will now be able to experience our proven brand of effective, hands-on training in ongoing technologies such as SAP, e-Commerce, Java, Linux, and more," said Genovate CEO and co-founder, J. Anton Ravindran. "As part of this initiative, Genovate plans to train and certify nearly 260 SAP consultants within one year and about 1400 IT professionals in the areas of Java, Linux, XML, e-Commerce and SCM," Ravindran added.

Genovate's Kuala Lumpur operations have begun with SAP Academy, and will soon include Genovate training programs like Java, XML, CIW, Linux. The Kuala Lumpur facilities will soon make customised, on-site training for companies available to its corporate clients.
