CMPnetAsia Team, 01 Aug 2001

Genovate Solutions has signed an agreement with Scallion Technologies as its Master Franchise for South India for training and development.

This move allows Genovate to expand its training and software services for the Indian market. The main focus of these sub franchise centres is to provide training in e-commerce, Java technology, XML (EXtensible Markup Language), Linux, CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and voice recognition technology.

As part of this initiative, all Genovate Centres will be authorised by CIW and ASP Linux to offer their certification program in e-commerce and Linux. Genovate's training franchise programs are supported and funded by TDB under IFEP (International Franchise Enterprise Program) program. Genovate has recently signed an MoU with the Hungarian Institute of Science and Technology to do the same in Budapest.

The new partnership promises 20 training centres by June 2002 in South India to train its clients with industrial technological mandate. According to Ravindran, two software development centres will also be set up to replicate Genovate's software service offerings.

According to Gurumurthy Pillani, CEO of Scallion Technology, "In 2001 there would be 450,000 unfilled jobs in US due to lack of skills in emerging technologies". Genovate will fulfil the need for those who lack the skills to accommodate new emerging technologies in the field of CRM, data-mining, SCM, data warehousing and wireless technology.

The agreement with Scallion Technology of India was signed on July 25, 2001 at Taj Connemara Chennai. The signing was witnessed by D. Jayakumar, Honorable Minister of Electricity and was presided by Anton J. Ravindran, CEO & co-founder of Genovate Solutions.
